Core services breakdown
STRATEGY
Design and implementation of a strategic architectural environment, for the future of Open Finance.
I.e. you want to open up your business to bring in new suppliers and TPPs, you want to win new customers – we can help you with that, based on what we know of the market, how the interoperability works between firms and so-on.
ADVISORY
Support with the firm’s API strategy -governance, data control, security & training.
Our advisory service helps from day one, taking you on an Open Banking journey benefiting from our experience – and the capabilities of our partners. We’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt. Additionally, our advisory services are ongoing... supporting you even once strategy has been established.
Core services
OPERATIONAL
Manage the external partner’s ecosystem - working groups, Confluence, support desk.
When you open your organisation to third parties you don’t just want to hand them a document and say, “here you go, help yourself – you'll be fine”. It’s vital to provide the management support necessary, to run working groups, talk with key people and teams, informing those involved when an API is going to be deprecated or you’re going to move to an inversion. We can help with this operational management, drawing on our vast experience and partner network.
ECOSYSTEM
Building awareness of clients’ APIs.
What we’ve witnessed from some organisations, which is a mistake, is that they’ll say “Okay, we know what the standards are, we’ve downloaded the documents and we have an API which fits those standards – so I’ll put it on my website and people will just come”. They won’t. There is a need to build awareness in this new ecosystem, so the likes of XERO, QuickBooks or even other banks are aware your new API exists. We can run this whole service, contacting people to say “We have this new API if you need any help we’re here – can I speak to your development team and we’ll help them...” etc.
Core services
CONTROL
Supporting the governance and control of internal/external service offerings.
A leading retail bank says to its tech team, “let’s pursue Open APIs”. A few months later and they have 14,000 of them - utter chaos. Now they have a project to consolidate the APIs, which is much harder to act than if, to begin with, they’d included controls and governance. Caspian One and our OB partners offer services that deliver complete API governance over both internal and external offerings.
EVENT-DRIVEN BANKING
Guaranteeing the delivery of phenomenally fast payments.
We have a strategic partnership with advanced event broker, Solace. Together, we bring event-driven Open Banking to our customers, which will become essential as demand for complex implementations increases. Solace take on far greater volumes of information and event messaging, so even if there's a fundamental break in the system - they can guarantee message delivery.
Core services
INTEGRATION PARTNERS
Extend our services to connect with your customers efficiently.
Then, once you’ve opened the front door and allowed people to come in and play in your sandbox and get used to your organisation, you then have the possibility of bringing on other services. We’ve worked with many of these ‘other’ services so we know how to work with them, we know what the costs will be, what the pitfalls will be and how to get the best result. So, we’re integration partners to; bolting in an FX supply, adding credit cards, cheaper loans – other services that other people would bring, we are experts for that.
COGNITIVE FORECASTING
Utilising machine learning, AI and behavioural science.
Within our network, we have highly educated behavioural scientists who've taken their knowledge into the technological space; applying their understanding of cognitive principles to digital interactions. Partners can utilise OB transactional data where permission is given, alongside online actions (pages viewed, buttons clicked, reactions to presentations etc.) and ML algorithms, to accurately predict, forecast and measure behavioural patterns. This is a service we overlay and embed within our offering.

Corporate environment
Open Banking services for the Corporate environment are transforming how consumers and businesses share their financial data securely, and in turn, is enabling the development of innovative new financial services and products.
A Wealth Manager may, for example, have a client with £300 million in the bank. If that client wished to transfer any of that money, now it's likely to require phone calls or email communication. Whereas with Open Banking that client could quickly and simply view their entire portfolio, compare it to others for the best rates - and move it with ease.
Open Banking APIs provide the ability to display Corporate-level dashboards, including both internal and external client balance positions of their portfolios. We would also develop a strategic MI architecture platform to ensure future API metrics can support the organisation with analytics and decision making.
Through Open Banking we are able to provide the ability to drill down from a Corporate-level dashboard to individual, client-level dashboards, which can be exposed to clients securely - listing real-time balance positions and settled payments, helping to significantly improve the client's risk profile status and exposure across financial institutions.
Caspian One Open Banking modules have been designed for deployment in Corporate environments. All ASPSP/TPP modules are out-of-the-box and are ready to be integrated with banking and accounting platforms.
Even where clients may have several internal and external business accounts, Open Banking provides the opportunity to aggregate account information from across all financial institutions.
We provide everything needed to build a successful Open Banking business - including Directory, ASPSP, TPP, AISP, PISP, CoP and ‘Open Banking in a Box’.
