Caspian One are early-stage contributors to Open Banking, with 19 years of global trading history in the financial markets; working in collaboration with the UK Implementation Entity, various members of the CMA9, and key players vital to the story of Open Banking.

Our Directors, Senior Management and Consultants all have extensive experience working with tier one Investment and Retail Banks on international project deliverables.
We have led the provision of PSD2/Open Banking solutions for Computer Associates, powering some of the largest banking groups in Europe – covering both Open Banking standards as well as the Berlin Group.
2019/20, we were directly responsible for the implementation of Open Banking at a leading UK retail bank (5 million customers), providing both business and technical consultancy.
This has resulted in an exponential and ongoing increase in successful API calls - from 110k calls in August 2019 to 839k as of July 2021 (data from the OBIE - LINK).

Open Banking standards are in the process of being adopted, rapidly, on a global scale.
For example, we are working with the Australian Government concerning security frameworks, services and best practices relating to the countries Open Banking implementation. Alternatively, in Canada, we're working with a leading digital bank to transform their mortgage business, through improved customer journeys and the adoption of Open Banking; driving both efficiency and an expansion of products/services available to their customers.
Another example is our engagement with a Tier-1 Retail Bank. Originally, we assisted in providing its first externally facing API driven project, Open Banking.
We then guided the design and development of an enterprise-wide API strategy and end-to-end data management architecture; moving from a predominantly on-premise environment to a fully scalable and secure Cloud-based solution.
We drove the innovation and partnership agenda, resulting in the Bank now having active partnerships and POC's in the plan. This included:
Design and implementation of the strategic enterprise-wide architecture framework – for Open Banking and open finance
Development of the Cloud-based architecture to expose data securely to external third parties
Successfully migration of on-premise, non-exposed data stores to a Cloud-based environment – meeting architecture and security protocols related to exposing data externally
Design and implementation of the strategic API Gateway for Retail, Business and Corporate Banking divisions
Facilitated Tier-1 Retail Bank to further enhance products and services utilising technology and innovation to:
Enhance and innovate KYC processes
Scale lending products to clients via Open Banking, enabling APIs
Obtain live transaction history information for the purpose of client risk profiling and income confirmation
Introduce business savings accounts whilst clients have current accounts with external Financial Institutions
Enable the exposure of non-exposed internal data to other international divisions, through the Open Banking API Cloud platform
