By Simon Keates, Key Account Manager

Last week marked a significant milestone for me and the team at Caspian One as we ventured to Poland, a country that's rapidly becoming a hub for technological innovation and talent. This visit was more than just a trip; it was a strategic step to reinforce our commitment to delivering exceptional technology solutions globally.

Our Journey in Poland: Wroclaw to Krakow

Our excursion took us to Wroclaw and Krakow, two cities at the forefront of Poland's tech revolution. Across the last two years, we've grown our workforce by over 65 skilled technologists in these cities, specializing in Java, C#, Azure, React, DevOps and more. Our time in Poland was split between meeting long-standing clients, welcoming new partnerships, and connecting with our talented staff and consultants. These interactions weren't just meetings; they were collaborative discussions about future projects and the evolving needs of the tech industry.

Client Feedback and Market Insights

The feedback from our clients in Poland has been overwhelmingly positive. We're recognized as a premium provider and known for our higher quality delivery compared with local competitors. A testament to this is the feedback from one of our clients, who expressed his gratitude by saying, "Caspian One saved me," after being let down by a previous technology partner - highlighting our ability to deliver where others had fallen short.

Our on-the-ground observations aligned with current market conditions – a strong preference for remote work, challenges with return-to-office policies, and navigating through high inflation. Yet, through these challenges, our clients remain highly satisfied with the level of service and quality we provide.

Case Study: Tackling Complex Trading-Tech Challenges

Separately, our recent work with a globally acclaimed Investment Bank in Poland showcases our capability to address complex technology challenges. Tasked with closing a niche engineering skills gap and increasing female representation in tech teams, we provided a comprehensive insights report, which laid the foundation for a competitive pricing model and a global vendor MSA.

In just four months, we scaled to 45 resources across the UK and Poland, achieving a 20% diversity ratio and a 70% workforce allocation in Poland. Our success in Poland has now opened doors for us in other regions, including Asia and the USA. Contact me for more details.

Looking Ahead to 2024

As we look towards 2024, our journey in Poland is just the beginning. We're poised to leverage our learnings and successes here to further our reach in lower-cost centre locations.

Our agile approach to workforce solutions, from individual resource augmentation to building entire agile pods, demonstrates our ability to adapt and deliver in diverse market conditions.

Conclusion

Our Poland trip was more than just a visit; it was a reaffirmation of our global presence and a testament to our commitment to offshoring highly capable specialist technologists for our clients. As we continue to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology, our focus remains on being a premium provider that delivers exceptional value, quality, and innovation to our clients worldwide.
